With more than 60,000 units sold worldwide, the first-generation BMW M2 was a resounding success.such a best seller that managed to win over quite a few fans thanks to that balance between performance, size and price. Marketed through three different variants: M2, M2 Competition and M2 CS (which we thoroughly test here), the time has come to renew this recipe and the result is a new BMW M2 that surpasses its predecessors in everything… including the price.
The jump in performance and features of this M2 is substantial, but the price increase is also
The new BMW M2 is now available in the BMW Spain configurator with a price from 89,900 eurosa price that is the same for both the 6-speed manual transmission and the 8-speed automatic transmission. For this price we take home one of the most interesting Ms of the moment, since its approach has remained faithful to the original recipe, which which results in the use of a 3.0 Twin-Turbo engine that sends its 460 hp and 550 Nm only to the rear axle. Added to this is a notable gain in technology, in addition to greater interior space and equipment possibilities.
The new BMW M2 is 24,600 euros more expensive than its predecessor
But if we look back, we find that the previous generation BMW M2 (370 hp) was priced from 65,300 euros at the time of its launch in 2017, raising this price to 74,700 euros in the case of the M2 Competition (410 hp) and 103,900 euros in the M2 CS (450 hp). We are therefore talking about a fairly significant price jump, even taking into account the improvements introduced by this new M2. For reference, a previous generation BMW M4 (2017) was priced at 94,670 euros, although this model has also become quite expensive with its renovation, now costing 119,450 euros.
