When the deal was first announced in April, Twitter froze encoding changes. At the time it was suspected that the little bird company was concerned with internal sabotage of one sort or another. According to various sources, the code was frozen again around noon Thursday Pacific time, after the deal between Twitter and Musk was finalized.
That same night, Musk had the Twitter staff schedule a series of meetings with the mission of bringing the code. This could indicate the interest of Musk to get to the bottom of what’s going on Twitter.
For now, it only remains to be seen if the tesla engineers will they continue to work on the Twitter code or not, and what things will be unraveled, if any.
