The Lexus Electrified Sport concept will debut in the United States during Monterey Car Week, specifically at The Quail and Pebble Beach Golf Links. The performance of the SPORT RX 500h F 2023 will also be there, and visitors can see a modified IS 500 from Hiraku Co. from the 2021 SEMA Show.
Journalists will be able to get a preview of the Lexus Electrified Sport on August 18 during a presentation by CALTY Design Research President Kevin Hunter. Then, the public will be able to see it at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on 19 August. Lexus Marketing Vice President Vinay Shahani and driver Townsend Bell will discuss the sporty EV there. Later, the car will be on display at the third fairway of Pebble Beach.

The Lexus Electrified Sport concept debuted in December 2021 during a massive presentation of design ideas for Toyota and Lexus EVs. At the time, the automaker was promoting it as a successor to the LFA but without the loud V10.
“Lexus will develop a next-generation battery EV sports car that inherits the driving taste, or secret sauce, of performance developed through LFA development,” Toyota boss Akio Toyoda said at his debut.

Lexus offered few tech details about the Electrified Sport concept when it initially showed the low-slung engine. It was allegedly capable of hitting 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in a low two-second span. The maximum driving distance on a charge will be over 435 miles (700 kilometers) using a solid-state battery.

According to the recently published rumors from upper teethThe production-spec Lexus Electrified Sport may use a new drivetrain with simulated gearshifts using special software. The result is an EV where the driver can feel the sensation of running through the drive wheels. However, this setup is reportedly still in the experimental stages, so no one knows yet if it will actually go on sale.
In addition, the Lexus Electrified Sport is said to have a steer-by-wire system. The powertrain will be capable of vectoring torque.
Toyota plans to put solid-state batteries into production by 2025. They will arrive first in hybrid models before going into EVs later.
