Police authorities reported that Wesley Burson met Jennifer Lee Gray37, on a dating app called Plenty of Fish and arranged a Uber to pick her up at a hotel in northwest Atlanta and drive her home.
However, when Burson decided to go use the bathroom, he heard his truck pull up outside and quickly discovered that Gray had run away with it.

Wesley immediately called 911, and fortunately, a police officer quickly saw the stolen vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, Gray was unwilling to stop and instead accelerated to more than 160 km/h (100 mph) in his attempt to flee from authorities.
Local officers were only able to take Gray into custody after a member of the sheriff’s office HEAT unit who was standing on the interstate used stop sticks to slow the truck. Subsequently, an officer carried out a PIT maneuver in order to detain the woman.
“On the interstate, speeds were over 100 mph, she was driving recklessly, trying to swerve and hit our patrol car while he was trying to do a PIT maneuver,” Coweta County Sheriff’s Sgt. Toby Nix told Fox 5 Atlanta.
Gray ended up being arrested and transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital for evaluation. She was then transferred to the Coweta County Jail and accused of theft after taking and fleeing with the truck, in addition to trying to elude a police officer.
