A trailer presented a failure in the brakes which caused a massive accident that involved nine cars traveling on the Mexico-Toluca highway. Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured.
The accident occurred in the central lanes of the highway that crosses the Santa Fe area, in the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office.
The larger vehicle could not avoid colliding with eight cars that were driving in front of the trailer. Immediately after, the trailer hit the back of a truck with which he managed to stop.

Fortunately, the occupants of the cars managed to get out of the cars without the help of paramedics. Authorities reported that those affected suffered minor injuries.
