2023 Toyota Prius debuts as a PHEV model
The toyota prius fifth generation makes its debut in Europe a few hours before its premiere in the United States. We don’t know much yet regarding the model’s specifications.

The prius It will be available in the Old Continent only as a plug-in hybrid. Its powertrain includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a total output of 220 horsepower. That’s a 99-hp (74 kW) improvement over the current model’s 1.8-liter electric-assist four-cylinder engine that makes 121 hp (90 kW).
The model arrives with a 13.6 kilowatt-hour battery, compared to the previous model’s 8.8 kWh package. Toyota says the scope “It is 50 percent larger than the current generation.” For a distance of 58.5 miles (94.15 kilometers).
The plug-in prius It will come with an optional sunroof panel. Although we do not know if the driving range of the model is improved.
Its design brings the apex of the roof back, giving it a coupe-like appearance. Its height dropped 50 millimeters (1,969″) and the wheelbase was extended by the same figure. Full length is 1,811″ (46 millimeters) shorter. The width is increased by 0.866″ (22 millimeters).
The interior of the model is based on a style Island Architecture with three areas: “around”, “driver’s module” and “floating instrument panel”. Its appearance is similar to the design of the crossover bZ4X with a protruding screen on the dash instead of a cover around it, like almost all current models.
It has a center console with an infotainment screen that comes out of the dash. The only physical control it has is shaped like a knob in the lower right corner of the screen.
The infotainment screen is separated with two vents from the HVAC controls. It has buttons to manipulate the seat temperature control and adjust the cabin temperature.
