One of the projects that is on the agenda to invade the streets in 2025 is the new Citroen C3 Aircross.
Citroën’s smallest SUV sold in Europe will undergo major changes, as it will become a Compact SUV with global ambitions. The proof of this is the recent sighting that occurred in India.

The successor to the C3 Aircross will be a new vehicle with which the brand hopes to expand into emerging markets. The focus is not only on India, but also on South America.

That the first spy images were produced in India is not by chance. In that distant country the development of the new C3 is carried out. These two models are part of the Smart Car program. This means that they will share a platform and some components to reduce costs and offer an adjusted price.
It is important to mention that the C3 Aircross will be mounted on a CMP architecture simplified platform of Stellantis, a key factor for the positioning of the model.
This car will go from segment B to that of compacts, with some 4.40 meters long, that is to say, a little smaller than his older brother, the Citroen C5 Aircross.

As for the design, there will be no major changes. In fact it will have a style similar to the C3. It will have characteristic features of an SUV to show off an adventurous appearance.

The South American version will be similar to the one that will be sold in India. However, in Europe certain licenses will be taken. You will get the gasoline engine 1.2 Lotros PureTech and a 100% electric version with a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery. Various configurations will be studied to satisfy the European customer.

The successor to the C3 Aircross should arrive in the fall of 2024 and, taking into account the sighting, more prototypes will surely appear in full light during road tests.
