Good, beautiful and cheap, this is the 125 scooter with a high wheel that still costs €2,320

The scooters are the vehicle preferred by many for their urban trips. And the logic behind this decision is overwhelming: traffic jams will not bother us, we will park at the door and we will also have really low fuel and maintenance costs. The other day we talked about the offer of the best-selling scooter on the market, and today, we come to talk about one of its low-cost rivals. A motorcycle that is about 1,000 euros more affordable, which you can release for 2,320 eurosand which can be defined as good, pretty and cheap.

It’s about the Peugeot Tweet 125. From the outset we have to take into account that those 1,000 euros of difference with respect to the Honda are present in several key components of the vehicle, its most objective disadvantage being lack of ABS in its equipment. We don’t have ABS, but at least we have a combined braking system SBC: pressing the left lever will apply the brakes of both axles, and if we need more braking power, we will support it with more force on the front wheel by pressing the right lever.

Its biggest drawback is that it lacks ABS, but in exchange, its price is very contained.

Although the lack of ABS is something that may turn some customers off, the Tweet 125 sells in the thousands each year and is at the top of the market sales list. Its cycle part is more than correct and some of its components are worthy of a higher priced scooter: it has 226mm brake discs on both axles, the front fork is 30 mm in diameter and has double shock absorbers on the rear axle. Its 125-cubic-centimeter single-cylinder engine develops 11.4 CV and is cooled by air-oil.

It does not have automatic engine stop systems, it has 4 valves and approves a average consumption of 2.4 l/100 km. The key to this scooter is its high wheel, with 16-inch wheels on both axles. This allows the bike to be more comfortable and stable in bumpy areas. Under the seat we will only fit a jet helmet with a screen and it lacks power outlets. Its instrumentation is a simple digital display. It is basically a simple motorcycle, something that fortunately is reflected in a current price of 2,320 euros.

Its fuel tank is only 5.5 liters, but it should be enough for about 200 km.

The Tweet 125 isn’t quite as cutting-edge as rivals like the Honda PCX 125 or Yamaha NMAX 125, but it’s noticeably cheaper in return. The Tweet 125 Active costs 2,320 euros, and older, there is a GT version of the Tweet 125. This version is only 35 euros more expensive, and adds a somewhat more aggressive and differentiated aesthetic to the bike: the paint is matte grey, the wheels are black and there are yellow details in its design. In 2023 it will be renewed on an aesthetic levelSo now is a great time to get this sale price for the 2022 Peugeot Tweet 125.
