MX: family overturns their truck on the Tamaulipas highway

A family of four was injured as a result of a crash that produced a rollover and fire on the highway to Matamoros, in the municipality of San Fernando, Tamaulipas.

The accident occurred this Sunday at 8:00 am in the kilometer 144 of the section “Las Norias” – San Fernando. Among the injured is a 9-year-old boy.

The others affected were a 67 year old adult, a young man of 25 years and a 45-year-old woman. All were referred to a local hospital out of danger.

Excelsior reports that the family is resident of Houston, Texas and they moved to San Luis Potosi to spend the Christmas holidays.

In the aforementioned place, they collided their truck tacoma of 2011 against a containment ball of a bridge. It was reported that they went around several times and the vehicle ended up on fire, which caused the closure of both lanes of traffic.


Paramedics and firefighters came to the scene of the incident to control the fire.

After almost four hours of work, circulation was reopened in the section.
