The first Ford Mustang GT 2024 production will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 28. It was reported that all proceeds will go to JDRF, the global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization.
It is the third generation of Mustangs VIN 001 which will be auctioned for charity. the first models Mustang Shelby GT500, Mustang Mach 1 and Mustang Bullitt were auctioned for a similar purpose.
“Ford has a long tradition of supporting charitable organizations through the Barrett-Jackson auction, and we’re proud to offer the new Mustang GT to support worthy causes like juvenile diabetes research.” Jim Owens, Mustang’s marketing manager, commented.

“This seventh generation is our most powerful Mustang GT to date, and the winning bidder will not only support a good cause, but will become the owner of the first Mustang GT.”, he added.
The winner will be able to choose between any standard Mustang GT option, which includes: manual or automatic transmission, 11 colors, 18 to 20” wheels and brakes. Brembos in three shades.
This product features a tuned 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine capable of producing 480 hp and 415 pound-feet of torque. Although if the active valve exhaust system is chosen the values increase to 486 hp and 418 ib-ft, being the most powerful Mustang in history.
Once the first model is delivered, regular production is expected to start this summer.
