After debuting the Genesis X Speedium Coupe concept in April, the brand finally unveiled the interior during Monterey Car Week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The automaker calls cabin-style language “The Beauty of White Space.” It should be mostly minimalistic but with strong design elements accentuating the appearance.
The driver sits in an asymmetrical cockpit with the center console curved upwards to meet the binnacle above the instrument. The brushed metallic trim on this architectural element covers the side facing the pilot, which makes this piece especially eye-catching. While it’s hard to see in these photos, there’s a tilting touchscreen infotainment screen on the console.

The driver’s seat, instrument surrounds and parts of the console have Pinegrove Green leather, which is a very dark color. The rest of the cabin is Monterey Gold. The color combo creates a distinct contrast between the two interior sides.
Two types of leather cover most of the cabin. The upper uses a new breathable granular material that uses less water and lower levels of chemicals to manufacture than usual. The rest of the coating is vegetable tanned skin. The steering wheel has woven leather using scraps salvaged from covering the seats. The thread that holds it all together is reusable plastic.
Genesis collaborates with Guk-il Yu, the boss of a high-end audio equipment maker Metal Sound Design, to create a stereo Genesis X Speedium Coupe concept. Design touches include a tweeter on the dashboard with a milled aluminum cover
The cargo area of the Genesis X Speedium Coupe has X-shaped straps. The company says this detail is a nod to the Mint Concept from 2019.

The exterior of the concept has not changed compared to the previous look. This vehicle is a large grand-touring coupe with an electric powertrain. The nose features two luminous elements that create a shield-like version of the grille of other Genesis models. In profile, you can really feel the long hood and curved roofline.
We don’t know yet if Genesis intends to adapt the X Speedium Coupe concept into a production vehicle or if the model is purely a design exercise to see future design language. The current lineup of automakers doesn’t have a two-door offering.
