Hennessey Venom F5 Gets A Limited Edition Watch For $200,000

Hennessey Performance and Skeleton Concept have partnered to design the watch. The Hennessey Venom F5 Concept Chronograph is a new limited edition timepiece that is tied to individual Venom F5 models via a bracelet and lettering.

Sapphire cases go through an extensive manufacturing process, starting as aluminum oxide that is heated to molten. It is then cooled into crystal blocks which are inspected before being machined 24 hours a day for over 30 days into the final piece. Another careful inspection and polishing completes it.

The chronograph has another twist of the car, featuring a carbon fiber frame engraved with a high-contrast tachymetric scale that can measure average speeds of up to 248 miles per hour (400 kilometers per hour). Each watch is strapped to an individual Venom F5 with the chassis number inscribed surrounded by an engraving of “The American Dream Never Sleeps”. The Skeleton Concept further connects its watch to a specific Hennessey by matching the color of the band to the exterior color of the car.

The super-exclusive Hennessey Venom F5 debuted in late 2020, with the company only building 24 units. Its limited timeframe certainly adds to its rarity, but Hennessey has the power to back its seven-figure price tag. It has a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 engine that produces 1,817 horsepower (1,345 kilowatts) and 1,193 pound-feet (1,617 Newton-meters) of torque, which can send the car to 62 mph (100 kph) in no time. less than three seconds. It’s expected to go from 0-124 mph (200 kph) in 4.7 seconds.

“The car pushes the boundaries of the possible through state-of-the-art engineering, a parallel that we bring to the hero-engineered timepiece with its unique and beautiful sapphire case,” said Hennessey COO Alex Roys.

Watches, like cars, don’t come cheap, costing $200,000. Still, that’s a bargain compared to the $3 million Venom F5 Roadster that Hennessey launched earlier this year, which saw a sizeable price increase compared to the $2.1 million coupe. It packs the same high-powered V8 engine, weighing less than 3,100 pounds (1,406 kilograms). This coupe weighs 2,998 lbs (1,360 kg).
