It seems that today to the task of buying a car has been added that of acquiring the appropriate label whether we like it or not. And that is where models such as the more than proven Hyundai Ioniq make sense, a hybrid saloon that has the DGT ECO label, declares a combined consumption of only 4.5 liters and it costs 335 euros per month, although with a trick.
And that trick is none other than renting that the Korean firm requires to be able to get hold of the Ioniq for said monthly payment. In this way, we must read the fine print to find out what Hyundai’s requirements are and if we are really facing what promised to be a good offer for a hybrid car.
This is the hybrid Hyundai Ioniq that can be yours for 335 euros per month
But before starting to analyze numbers, it is necessary to clarify that the offer that concerns us today is associated with a specific configuration of the Ioniq. This means that, to access financing, we must do it through a Hyundai Ioniq with the 141 hp 1.6 GDI hybrid engine and the Klass finish.
This translates into equipment made up of 15-inch wheels, slightly tinted windows, LED lights, an 8-inch touch screen with connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear view camera and automatic climate control, among others.
In terms of mechanics, the Hyundai Ioniq combines a 1.6-liter atmospheric four-cylinder engine with a 44-CV electric drive to offer a combined power of 141 hp and 265 Nm of torque. These figures are orchestrated by means of a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and allow a 0 to 100 in 10.8 seconds and a top speed of 188 km/h. But the high point of the Korean hybrid lies in the aforementioned combined consumption of only 4.5 liters per 100.
But, what requirements does Hyundai have to allow us to take home an Ioniq for less than 350 euros per month? The first is to face an entry of 4,592.39 euros, thus giving us access to the payment of 48 installments of 335 euros. To this we must add a maximum annual mileage of 10,000 kilometers.
We must know that said offer is available until January 31, so we must hurry in case we are really interested. However, Is this Hyundai Ioniq offer worth it? The truth is that we are facing a somewhat high monthly payment, but we have all the advantages that leasing offers us and, for four years, with a car that can deal without problems with LEZs.
The second hand Hyundai Ioniq hybrid
But before panic spreads, we must know that there is a way to make the Hyundai hybrid considerably cheaper and avoid paying those 335 euros per month that Hyundai asks us for. And it is that in addition to facing a cash payment in which we avoid interest, we can resort to the second hand market via What car do I buy?.
In this way, we can discover an interesting hybrid Hyundai Ioniq thanks to units that fall below 20,000 euros, although it is true that the general trend is that price range. To lower this figure we will have to resort to copies with mileage between 50,000 and 90,000, thus being able to lower the final bill to 17,000 eurosand all of them equipped with the Klass finish and at most six years behind them.
However, if we want an Ioniq entered in fewer years and with a lower mileage, we will have no choice but to stretch the budget to around 21,000 eurosbeing able to find units for something less or something more depending on finish, age and kilometers.
