Jeep 4xe Day Teaser Preview of the Brand’s Electric Future

“The future of freedom is electricity.” That’s the closing statement in Jeep’s latest teaser video for the upcoming 4xe Day, which takes place on September 8, 2022. That, plus the music in the background sings “Welcome to the future. This is the future now.” This is not a surprise to anyone, but yes, the future of the car is electric.

Needless to say, the American automaker is cementing its place in the years to come by strengthening its electric car lineup – and all of that will be revealed at the event. The company hasn’t provided any clues, despite what we already know about the current 4xe lineup in the US.

For the record, Jeep 4xe plug-in hybrid models in the US include the Wrangler 4xe, as well as the Grand Cherokee 4xe making its global debut in September 2021. Both models are available in Europe where the Italian-made Renegade and Compass are located. also available as a 4xe plug-in hybrid model.

To recall, Jeep has confirmed that a full-electric model is on the way through the presentation of Stellantis’ “Dare Forward 2030” strategic plan. Between the slides, it is mentioned that “Pure Offroad UV” and “Lifestyle Family SUV” electric batteries are coming, which will be available from 2024 onwards.

Meanwhile, a small Jeep SUV is believed to be part of the announcement during the 4xe of the day. The new, unnamed Jeep model, which was spied on the road recently (gallery above), will be placed under the Renegade in the lineup and will use PSA Group’s e-CMP platform, whose models are from Citroën, Opel, and Peugeot. already used.
