Kawasaki showed its first electric motorcycle that will soon be hitting the market. A prototype, this is how this product is presented at the motorcycle trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
This issue should reach agencies by the end of this year and is part of the firm’s plan to offer more than 10 electric and hybrid motorcycles by 2025.
The prototype of the images is the equivalent of 125cc when it appears on the market and has a design that evidences its nature. Although some clueless could think that it has a combustion engine of small quantity of small capacity that is hidden under a body work. Its design is very similar to the Kawasaki Z400 and has the same frame.
Design-wise, the tail, headlights, and front suspension are similar to the Z400. An obvious change is smaller hump due to the absence of a gas tank. Brakes and wheels are borrowed from a Z300 or Ninja 300, according to Motorcycle.
The specifications are unknown at the moment and the information is likely to be kept hidden until the official presentation at the end of 2022. The production model of the electric motorcycle is expected to be identical.

Masaya Tsuruno, managing director of Kawasaki Motors Europe He assured that the company’s plans would be to present three electric vehicles worldwide by the end of the year. He added that although the manufacturer develops electric motorcycles, it will not neglect the internal combustion engines and the use of e-fuel is being considered.
