The state governor, Tere Jimenezconfirmed the death of the Secretary of Public Security of Aguascalientes, Porfirio Sanchez Mendozaand four more people, after a state agency helicopter collapsed.
Through a press conference, Jiménez indicated that he preliminarily points out that the fateful event was an accident.
“Unfortunately no survivors and the death of the state secretary of public security Porfirio Javier Sánchez Mendoza, the pilot Olegario Andrade Samurano, the captain Víctor Manuel Sánchez, the gunner Juan Humberto Rincón Martínez and the gunner Alejandro Serafín Guerrero, was confirmed,” said the governor.

On the other hand, after the tragic death of Porfirio SanchezManuel Alonso García, who was head of the Criminal Investigation Agency, remains in charge of the SSP.
However, the governor was questioned about the causes of the accident, but could not specify what are the first elements to prove the theory.
Jiménez did not specify whether the helicopter crash was due to a mechanical failure or weather conditions, but what he did affirm is that the aircraft had maintenance every six monthsthe last one took place in September.
«It was obviously an accidentand it is under investigation and we will tell you the truth as soon as we have the investigation,” he reiterated to reporters.
