About 100 cars closed the Bay Bridge connecting San Francisco and Oakland over the past weekend. It was one of multiple sites in the area where illegal car sideshows took place. As of now, police authorities have yet to announce any arrests or citations related to the incidents.

Sideshow participants and spectators closed the bridge around 1:00 a.m., according to multiple reports. The California Highway Patrol told The San Francisco Standard that it cleared the area around 1:19 a.m., half of the bridge heading east.

An Instagram account called itsthebay showed a video of the event indicating that a similar situation occurred on the westbound half of the bridge. For now, the only video we have of the west half shows a Ford Mustang burning and leaving a cloud of smoke in place.

Separately, a video titled ‘Crazy Bay Area Sideshow 12.3.22 (Bay Bridge Shut Down & More!)’ posted on YouTube by user Jayy Hitta also shows the incident. In it, you can see what appear to be the same cars from the Instagram post. Also, during the first 27 minutes of the video, sideshows can be seen at other sites near the Bay Bridge. Later, from minute 27:54, images filmed on the bridge itself are shown.

In a show of two infinitis they are joined by a Subaru BRZ for a short time. Meanwhile, more cars nissan z are also involved. A Chevrolet Silverado pickup comes into action as does a Pontiac G8 GT. Also featured in the video is a Cadillac CTS and a chevrolet camarobut it seems that they are not on the bridge.

California cities have been working to reduce instances of sideshows throughout the year. For the month of November, the San José police delivered nearly 720 citations and impounded 19 vehicles in connection with a sideshow in San Jose. At this time, there is no indication that police have arrested or cited any of the nearly 100 cars attending the San Francisco Bay Bridge show.
