Peugeot 2024 Facelift 2008 Rendered After First Spy Photos

Major changes are planned for the 2008 Peugeot small crossover. It will receive a mid-cycle facelift later this year, which will bring fresh styling and a new electric powertrain under the hood. A few days ago, we shared our first spy photos with the revamped model and there’s already an unofficial rendering showing the design changes.

Our friends in Kolesa.ru rendered a digital image of the 2008 2024 Peugeot in GT-Line trim, which is the highest class for the crossover. As you can see in the image below, the biggest change compared to the pre-facelift model is on the front where 2008 is expected to get a new radiator grille inspired by the 308 hatchback and wagon, as well as the 408 fastback. centrally and under the new grille is a modified bumper design with fake air intakes in the corners.

Minimal adjustments to the headlights are also possible, but the prototype we saw earlier this week had standard halogen headlamps instead of the optional full LED cluster. At the rear, the new renderings propose slightly restyled taillights with new internal graphics plus a new Peugeot logo. The rear bumper also appears to feature minor tweaks.

The French company has confirmed the 2008 facelift will receive a new mild hybrid engine. The new PureTech Factory will have two power levels (100 and 130 horsepower) and both will be mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The transmission will incorporate a 21 kilowatt electric motor for extra low-end torque and 15 percent better fuel efficiency.

As far as the fully electric e-2008 is concerned, there may be healthy upgrades to come as well. Recently, Peugeot gave the e-208 a new electric motor with an output of 156 hp and a bigger battery pack for a range of up to 250 miles (400 kilometers) on a single charge. We expect the electric crossover to get the same hardware upgrade when it debuts later this year.
