Mercedes A-Class plug-in hybrid powertrain
In Spain the Mercedes A-Class Sedan Featuring mild hybrid technology, now under the hood of the Mercedes A 250 e is a plug-in hybrid powertrain. A motorization composed of a 1.3-liter gasoline engine and a small electric motor. The gasoline engine develops a power of 163 Hp and 270 Nm of maximum torque while the electric motor reaches 80 kW (109 Hp) and 300 Nm.
The total power reaches 218 Hp and 450 Nm of maximum torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds (7.5 seconds for the sedan) and achieve a top speed of 225 km/h (230 km/h for the sedan). Power that is sent to the front axle. The 15.6 kWh lithium-ion battery allows a 100% electric autonomy of up to 80 km according to the WLTP cycle.
As it is a PHEV vehicle with more than 40 km of electric range, the new A 250 e sports the 0 Emissions environmental badge of the DGT (General Directorate of Traffic) with the mobility advantages that it entails.
