The rebirth of Lancia will start with the Ypsilon. A new generation of the small car is scheduled for 2024 and will pave the way for a new design language, advanced technologies and the relaunch of a brand now targeting the premium segment. The Lancia Design Day provided numerous clues about the style of future models of the brand and rendered images show how the new one could be Lancia Ypsilon.

Initially, there is speculation that the Ypsilon will leave the supermini segment and move into a small crossover. Probably built on the CMP / e-CMP platform of the Peugeot 2008 and the jeep avenger, the model will have an approximate length of 4.1 to 4.2 meters. The new logo of Lancia will make its debut in the renovated Ypsilonlike the Y-shaped light signature on the front, two design elements featured with the Pu+Ra Zero concept shown at Lancia Design Day.

According to preliminary information, the interior will be inspired by classic Lancias and will have at least 50% eco-sustainable materials. Notably, Motor1.com Italia reports that the dashboard will recall the circular design elements of the Beta Trevi with a modern twist based on physical screens and controls for the infotainment system and driving modes.

The same approach is also expected for a complete change in technology. It is believed that both electric and ICE versions will be available, although it is not known what battery options and combustion engines the first crossover will have. Lancia. However, it is already clear that stellantis wants to position the brand in the same league as alfa romeo and DS, which means high-quality materials, premium features, and a higher price point than corresponding sister models from Peugeot Y Jeep.

It is worth mentioning that Lancia has an ambitious plan to introduce a new model every two years starting in 2024. The brand plans to offer electric vehicles only from 2028, which means that the Ypsilon It could be one of their last available cars with an ICE.
