Spain: Multiple accident in Ávila leaves four dead

A traffic accident in Avila settled with four dead This Friday, November 25. The accident involved three cars that collided in the kilometer 291 of the N-110 highway, Villatoro.

This collision increases to 120 deaths on roads in Castilla y León only in 2022.


The tragedy occurred around 3:50 p.m. and the Civil Guard of Traffic and the Firefighters of Ávila went to the place after receiving the report through 112. They were mobilized by means of a medical helicopter, a basic life support ambulance and health personnel from Primary care at the Muñaña health center.

Sacyl staff arrived on scene and confirmed death of four people, three women and one man. Two injured women were also treated, none of them was taken by helicopter to the Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca.

Between the months of July and August of this year at least 225 people died on roads of Spain, ten more than the summer months of 2019, the reference year due to being the year before without restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This figure suggests an increase of 4.65% to the reference year. Of the 211 fatal accidents registered this summer, the aforementioned died 225 people and 791 were hospitalized.
