Judging by the wheels and dual exhaust tips escorting the diffuser, this is the Veloce version sitting below the top-of-the-range Quadrifoglio. The changes in this update will appear to be limited to the spotlights and taillights. In the front part, Alfa Romeo applies the “3+3” theme of the tonewhich in turn uses a modernized design of the headlights installed on the SZ Zagato or the Proteo Concept.
At the rear, the taillights appear to carry over, but with a dark tint in an attempt to give the rear a “new” look while making minimal investment. That’s about it as far as changes go, unless the brand plans to tweak the bumpers. The prototype Stelvio it also featured the body of the current model without any adjustments. However, that could change for the production model.
There’s no word yet on whether the sedan and SUV duo will get an overhaul on the inside, where the lack of a digital instrument cluster makes the cabin feel outdated. The new Tonale does away with the analog dials and it would be strange if the larger, more expensive models kept the current setup.
Alfa Romeo has already announced that the next generation of the Giulia will transform into a EV, so time is running out for gasoline and diesel engines. In reality, the brand will leave the ICE completely from 2027 in Europe enlarged, North America and Chinese.
