Mercedes Benz plan to bring the first CLE class in convertible form. And although it is not known exactly when it will be available, for the meantime, we can settle for the camouflaged vehicle. So we present you some spy images of the Mercedes CLE Convertible Captured in Germany. Of course, this is not the final and complete product, although it shows a lot more than previous test vehicles.
The heavy camouflage is finally gone and it is possible to appreciate the overall shape and profile of the car. having seen the CLE Coupe on several occasions, things don’t seem so surprising here, but there are still details worth mentioning.

First of all, there are some obvious similarities with the SL Roadster, but this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. The CLE family will replace four vehicles in total: the E-Class and C-Class in coupe and cabriolet variants, meaning the size of the new vehicle will be among the outgoing products. On the other hand, the convertible car It doesn’t sit as aggressively low to the ground as the SL, as its focus is on comfort rather than pure performance.
Some other differences can be seen at the front, where the spotlightsAlthough they are similar in shape, they will not have the same general design. The same goes for the radiator grill, which in this case has an interesting pattern shaped like the emblem of the German company. Depending on the trim level and the engine under the hood, there will be a few different grille designs.
The CLE class in coupe and convertible versions it will be mounted on the MRA-2 platform of the manufacturer which is also under the current C-Class 2022. The hardware of the two door cars it will be shared with the C, which could also include the top-end AMG C63 trim with an electrified 2.0-liter turbo engine. If this is the case, it is expected to make close to 670 Hp (500 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque like the new C63.
