The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in USA The manufacturer revealed the global model in July, highlighting many of its features. The US market launch provides specific details about the model coming to market.

The Ioniq 6 has two available battery sizes: 53.0 and 77.4 kWh. The standard range model has a single rear-mounted electric motor that generates 149 Hp (111 kw) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. Hyundai offers the largest battery in single-motor rear-wheel drive or dual-motor four-wheel drive configurations. The RWD design makes 225 hp (168 kW) and the same amount of torque as the stock model. For its part, the dual-motor EV makes 320 hp (239 kW) and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque.

Hyundai estimates that the single-motor model with the largest battery will achieve 340 mi of electric range. The twin-engine car would return 310 mi, but these are not the official EPA numbers. A 350 kW fast charger allows the ionic 6 It recharges from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes, but if owners are in a hurry, the charger can add about 65 miles of range in five minutes. Recharging with a standard Level 2 charger takes just over seven hours.

Inside, the E-Global modular platform from the South Korean manufacturer allowed designers to give the electric car a completely flat floor, resulting in a cabin with a spacious feel. The manufacturer even removed the door buttons, slimming them down to make more room for passengers. Two 12.3-inch digital displays sit in the dash under a single piece of glass, serving as the gauge cluster and infotainment system.

The ionic 6 is the latest battery electric Hyundai. The manufacturer plans to have 17 BEV models available worldwide by 2030. The ionic 6 it will join the manufacturer’s American lineup next spring.
