The famous Italian bodybuilder Bertone plans to return to the road with the hypercar GB110. The hyperauto will use fuel from plastic waste and will have a limited production run of only 33 units. This is the first project of the new owners of the brand, Mauro and Jean-Franck Ricci.

The Italian brand has not revealed the design of the engine of the GB110. Nonetheless, the company claims it makes 1,100 Hp (820 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm). The mystery engine supposedly revs at 8,400 rpm, but no further details are yet available. Although Motor1 contacted the brand for additional details.

As mentioned, Bertone will supply the GB110 fuel made from plastic waste. The Select Fuel company is in charge of converting polycarbonate materials into something that can run an engine. Although, the Italian automaker does not specify how much of said combustible substance it provides with each hypercar.

The Turin-based manufacturer claims that the GB110 it reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.79 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.79 seconds and 186 mph (300 km/h) in a time of 14 seconds. Supposedly the GB110’s top speed is 236 mph (380 km/h).

For its part, the motor train consists of a seven-speed gearbox, but the manufacturer does not specify if it will be a automatic transmission either Handbook. What yes, is that it sends the output to a system all wheel drive.

Bertone also finds himself being quite vague about the chassis of the GB110. The company’s announcement states that it “is based on components from a German manufacturer.” The car rides on independent double wishbones at both ends and features four-way adjustable dampers.

Bertone expresses that the exterior style of the GB110 It is inspired by the wedge-shaped vehicles of the Italian brand during the 60s, 70s and 80s, such as the Lancia Stratos HF Zero concept. It also has a pair of scissor-hinged doors, and at the rear, sit a pair of stacked exhausts in trapezoidal outlets.

Regarding the interior, there are no photos or general details of the GB110. The open door rendering sports a glimpse of a simple cab with a raised flap which separates the driver and passenger.

The announcement of the Italian manufacturer does not specify details about the production of the GB110. It is not clear where Bertone plan to build this model or when you plan to start assembly. The price of the hypercar is also another unsolved mystery, of which we hope, little by little more clues can be revealed.
