The Porsche 928 It is one of those cars that marked a before and after for a brand. In the case of Porsche, it was his first venture into the world of eight-cylinder V-shaped, and gossips say that he was about to be the executioner of the Porsche 911. The 928, however, is a much-loved classic and in clear price rise. Perhaps that is why Larry Kosilla of AMMO NYC has decided to purchase a unit from a neighbor. With the slight problem that the car had 15 years parked outdoorswithout moving an inch.
Being the detailing professional that he is, Larry set to work returning the classic GT to near mint visual condition. The first step was clean your bodywork with hot pressurized water, to immediately lather and rub. The dirt was so embedded in some parts of the paint that only by heating it with a steamer could it be partly removed, leaving behind an indelible mark on the paint. When given an orbital polisher with a light buff, thankfully, the paint returned to almost all of its shine.
There was a nest of mice in the engine, and their urine reached the skid plate. Disgusting.
Although certain areas had to be touched up by hand, it is a great indication of the quality of the original paint. Inside, the process of the steamer, accompanied by specific soap and a stirring brush of dirt. The chrome rims were the next step, in addition to cleaning the wheel arches, underbody and engine, so that the mechanic who is going to update the car does not encounter unpleasant surprises and can work with peace of mind. The transformation is just amazing.
