On September 8th, Stellantis revealed several electrical products, including the first Jeep EV. Fortunately, some technical specifications are finally arriving that match the public debut of Jeep Avenger 2023 which will take place this week at the Paris Motor Show. This has a single motor that provides 154 Hp (115 kW) and 260 Nm (191 lb-ft) of torque.
Jeep Avenger arrives at the Paris Motor Show
The electric motor draws its power from a 54 kWh battery built in-house by Stellantis. Rated at 400 km (249 mi) range on the combined WLTP cycle, but should reach up to 550 km (342 mi) during city use. Once depleted, the lithium-ion pack can be replenished from 20% to 80% in 24 minutes using a 100kW connection. If you’re in a hurry, three minutes of charging will get you 30 kilometers (19 miles).
Jeep says that the newly developed battery has been tested for more than two million kilometers (1.24 million miles) and is located under the front and rear seats and the center tunnel. The new avenger measures just 4.08 meters (160.6 inches) long, making it 16 cm (6.3 inches) shorter than the already renegade. It provides 200mm (nearly eight inches) of ground clearance with approach angles of 20 degrees and departure angles of 32 degrees.
When it comes to practicality, the avenger it features a cargo volume of 380 liters (13.4 cu ft) behind the seats, complemented by 34 liters (1.2 cu ft) of front storage. This is the first front-wheel drive-based Jeep vehicle to get Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control, with six driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud and Sand. A twin-engine variant is envisioned and all wheel drive.
It will arrive in various markets such as Europe, Japan and Korea
located under the renegade in the line of the American manufacturer, the avenger 2023 will be manufactured at the Tychy plant in Poland and sold in Europe, Japan, South Korea and other markets. Currently, it is available to book from today in the Old Continent.
