The technology “Mazda M Hybrid” joins gasoline engines, being called «e-Skyactiv-G». They come with a new Belt-driven 24V starter generator that recovers kinetic energy from braking, transforming it into electricity to power the systems through a 24V / 12V converter.
It comes in two options: «e-Skyactiv G 165» and the “e-Skyactiv G 194”, along with cylinder deactivation technology, with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. The most powerful, 2.5-liter, increases maximum torque, from 258 Nm to 263 Nm. The diesel range brings: «Skyactiv-D» 2.2-liter biturbo with 150 and 184 hp.
