This factory is made with LEGO, and it makes little LEGO cars! (+video)

If you have had the opportunity to visit any car factory, you will know how incredibly complex, gigantic and impressive they are. Especially if there is a large vertical integration of processes. Recreate a functional car factory to scale is a big challenge in itself, and doing it using only LEGO bricks adds a lovely dimension to the recreation of the industrial process. Especially when the final product on the assembly line is a perfectly functional LEGO car. If you like LEGO, you have to see this.

The creation itself is a few years old, but has recently gone viral through Instagram Reels. It is the work of Daniele Benedettelli, an automation engineer, amateur LEGO set designer and robotics educator. The assembly line is built with lego technic piecesand uses servo motors and programmers LEGO Mindstorms EV3 – an ecosystem of electronic automation with which LEGO ventured years ago into the world of amateur robotics. In addition, it uses radio-controlled Hitec servomotors and custom-made electronic boards.

It is possible to program the color of the various parts manufactured on the automatic assembly line.

In short, it is a creation designed by someone with extensive knowledge and experience in automation. The assembly line itself starts with a chassis, which is moved by a conveyor belt. The various parts of the car (roof, doors, etc.) are attached to the chassis and a kind of presses make them fit together. The process is mesmerizing, and the end result is a little pram rolling off the assembly line. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, this is the video you should watch today.
