USA: 16-year-old dies after crash with drunk driver in Oak Cliff

The first reports from the police ensured that the driver who caused the accident was intoxicated at the time of the impact.


Recently, the international media announced the move of the Dallas police in an investigation motivated to the death16-year-old caused by another driver who was injured after a wrong-way accident in Oak Cliff Tuesday night.

Police confirmed that the victim was Javier Rodriguezhigh school student Trinidad Garza Early College.

For his part, the other driver, was by Pedro Garcia-Cleto22 years old, who was coming in the opposite direction with his vehicle when the events occurred.

Police officers reportedly responded to the accident around 11:55 tuesday pm on the block 2800 W. Illinois Avenue. Police said their preliminary investigation found that Rodriguez was driving east when a westbound SUVGarcia-Cleto, 22, crossed the center median and entered the eastbound lanes, hitting teen’s vehicle.

Immediately Rodríguez was taken to the hospital, where he later died.. In the meantime, Garcia-Cleto was taken to hospital in serious condition.police said.

The police said that García-Cleto was intoxicated at the time of the accident and will face a manslaughter charge for intoxication.
