Starting, the radars will not make fines, but will only capture cars that break the law, however it will be for 2023 that it starts as the law dictates.

The first cinemometer was placed on February 14 in the 20th district, at number 54 Avron Street. Then they installed another one on Cardinet Street, belonging to the 17th district.

These radars are known as Hydre and have two acoustic devices or “jellyfish”composed of four microphones that measure the sound level and the origin of the noise.

They are protected by metal cages to prevent theft and damage. A 180º wide-angle camera was integrated into them that takes images of the cars at the time of the infraction.

The system is completed with two ANPR cameras that capture car license plates from the front and rear, so you won’t be able to get out of tickets.

As provided in the article R318-3 of the French Highway Codethe penalty is 135 euros, reduced to 90 if paid within 15 days.
