It is the end of an era in Sant’Agata Bolognese, where Lamborghini is writing the last lines that tell the story of the Lamborghini Aventador. The Italian brand wanted to pay one last tribute to it with a special edition: the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae LP780-4. Of her, there are only 350 coupes and 250 convertibles: They have just sold the last Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae LP780-4 Coupé… and they have paid an exorbitant amount for it.

In case there is any clueless in the room, the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae LP780-4 debuts an evolution of the atmospheric 6.5 V12, which delivers 780 hp at 8,500 rpm (+40 hp compared to the S and +10 hp compared to the SVJ) and reaches a maximum torque of 720 Nm at 6,750 rpm. This force is received by all four wheels via an ISR transmission that doesn’t shift.

the last coupe

Although production of the car restarted after the sinking of the Felicity Ace ship with which fifteen units were lost, for the Italian brand this is the last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé. This version with hard top of the Sant’Agata Bolognese supercar has been customized through the manufacturer’s Ad Personam program.

Actually, this unit is not the latest Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. That honor belongs to an Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae convertible, which left the production lines last September for Switzerland. It was painted in Azzuro Flake to replicate the original shade of the Lamborghini Miura.

Sold at auction

Last April we learned that Lamborghini would auction the last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé at RM Sotheby’s. the supercar was accompanied by an NFT called Lamborghini Ultimate, which gives its owner some exclusive benefits: access to presentations of future special editions of the brand, a private tour of the Lamborghini museum and contact with both DJ Steve Aoki and digital artist Krista Kim. They have both collaborated on the NFT and helped design the car: Aoki was tasked with creating an exclusive soundtrack, while Kim was tasked with creating the visuals.
