Yes, there are still new cars for less than 12,000 euros

The numbers admit few replicas: according to data from the Tax Agency, in the third quarter of 2022, the average price of a new vehicle amounts to 22,739 euros. Or what is the same: drivers who need a city car with contained consumption. That could well be the description of the Hyundai i10, which is available for less than 12,000 euros.

During the month of November, Hyundai applies to its access model, the Hyundai i10, a discount of 3,000 euros. With it, its original price (14,950 euros) stays just below the barrier of 12,000 euros: at 11,950 euros. The brand, however, points out on its website that it is an estimated final price for vehicles that are available both on the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands: the closed figure will be provided by the dealer in question.

The conditions of the offer of the Hyundai i10

As a good promotion, it has two requirements. The first of them is called the Hyundai Renewal Plan and obliges the driver to hand over a used vehicle of which he has been the owner for at least six months prior to the purchase. The second consists of carrying out the purchase through the Hyundai MOVE campaign: the operation will be carried out with the Bank Cetelem SAU that you must study and approve each profile.

In case of receiving the green light, the future owner of the Hyundai i10 will have to finance at least 6,500 euros for a (minimum) term of 36 months (three years) and with a minimum stay of 36 months. It includes, of course, VAT, registration tax, transport and promotional actions and, in addition, a five-year commercial guarantee with no mileage limit.

Who is the Hyundai i10 for?

As we pointed out at the beginning, being located within the urban segment, the Hyundai i10 responds to very specific needs: its natural habitat is the city and its periphery. That is why it boasts of a compact size and considerable agility, that allow you to move through all kinds of streets without any problem.

It is true that due to its design, the Hyundai i10 stands out from its rivals for have more presence and being more of a car: taking into account the type of vehicle it is, its rear seats have satisfactory space and its trunk, with a 252-liter capacity, is one of the largest in the segment. To this must be added minimal maintenance and an affordable price with the Hyundai offer.

The protagonist of the promotion is the Hyundai i10 Essence, the finish of access to the range. As standard, we can find automatic lights, multifunction leather steering wheel, sound system with RDS, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB, air conditioning, trip computer, lane alert, pedestrian detector… It is powered by the 1.0 MPI engine. 66 CV, associated with a five-speed manual transmission.

Taking a look at the urban ones available in our market, we will soon recognize the two main rivals of the Hyundai i10: The first of them is the Toyota Aygo X, which is better equipped and has a more current image: it is also more expensive (17,300 euros without discounts). The second is the Kia Picanto with which it shares many components, including the engine: although it does not improve Hyundai’s proposal excessively, its price is slightly above (14,185 euros without promotions).
