On November 30, Lamborghini will present to society what will be its last pure internal combustion vehicle. From then on, everyone will have some form of electrification, be it light or full – including pure electric and plug-in hybrids. The protagonist of this last ode to combustion will be the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato. It will also be the car that marks the end of the Lamborghini Huracán saga, of which more than 20,000 units have already been sold. And the brand has finally published its first official photos.
Hurricane Sterrato was an open secret. First came a prototype that did not leave much to the imagination, and after the prototype, official spy photos that hid their shapes with the same “success”. In any case, the end result is downright spectacular. To the suggestive silhouette of the Hurricane is added a aggressive off-road inspired body kit. The first thing that catches our eye are the dark plastic-framed wheel arches, plus additional LED lights on the hood and a huge air intake on the roof.
The color is similar to that of the Lamborghini Sián and has a beautiful matte finish.
The front bumper has been redesigned, as has the rear diffuser or the spoiler that crowns the rear hood. Roof racks grace the look of the car, and will be used by many owners to transport their bikes or winter sports gear. But the biggest difference from other Huracáns is that this supercar really wants to get off the asphalt. And it will be possible thanks to a raised suspension with more travel and a ground clearance comparable to that of an SUV.
The wheels are specific to the Sterrato, they are 19 inches and shod with Bridgestone Dueller off-road tires. The Huracán Sterrato also features considerably wider tracks – the car is greatly widened – and will feature all-wheel drive. About its interior, motorization or off-road capabilities, Lamborghini has not yet released a pledge. However, we believe that it will have the latest evolution of 640 hp naturally aspirated 5.2 V10 engineand various off-road driving modes, adapted to different surfaces.
We do not yet have pictures of its interior or technical data. We will have to wait until November 30.
It is not a pure SUV, but it will be able to defend itself with guarantees in places where no supercar could. It promises to be the perfect alternative to the Porsche 911 Dakar, whose presentation is also imminent. However negative or pessimistic we may be, we live in an incredible era to be a wealthy petrolhead.
