New Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Already Has Hardcore Racing Version

Posted on

It’s been a while since Chevrolet introduced the new Colorado 2023. It wasn’t until the end of last month that we saw a third-generation midsize truck model, along with various off-road-focused trims, including the ZR2.

However, it seems that the Golden Bow Tie brand has provided a hardcore version of the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado in the form of an off-road racing truck. Announced via its official Facebook page, the all-new Colorado ZR2 2023 off-road racing truck will be debuting at Best in the Desert event this weekend.

There’s no definitive information about the Colorado ZR2 off-road racing truck yet, except for the attached image which reveals a lot about the sand-conquering specific model. The main thing is the continuation of Chevy’s partnership with Chad Hall Racing, seen in the livery used by the new racing truck.

The details of the upgrade have not been revealed. However, the previous Colorado ZR2 off-road racing truck should give us a hint of what’s to come. Much of the previous racing section was focused on overhauling the Colorado suspension setup. These parts are available for customers looking to upgrade their mid-size truck into an off-road monster.

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado, including the ZR2 trim, will be available for purchase in March next year. Chevy has confirmed that more than 200 accessories will be available for purchase, which include a grille light bar, removable off-road assist bumper light, and an interior switch plate for the ZR2.

For the record, the Chad Hall Racing Colorado ZR2 has been competing since 2017 in the Best In The Desert series and was the only truck in its class to complete every race it entered. By 2021, he has accumulated over 22,500 miles of racing experience.
