Purism is over, the last Lamborghini without electrification will be presented on December 1

Lamborghini promised us 3 new models without electrification before making the final leap to the electric motorand after introducing ourselves to the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica and Urus Performante, we only have one car left to discover. It will be next December 1 when Lamborghini presents its last car without electrificationa model that will close a stage forever and that will also not be without controversy since it will be the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.

The Italian manufacturer faces the end of 2022 by setting a date for the last planned launch in its range, a project as peculiar as it is interesting, since for the first time on the streets we will see a supercar reimagined as a crossover. This is the philosophy behind the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, a concept with which Lamborghini wants to diversify the Huracan range and explore a new market niche with an eye on Asia and the Middle East.

2023 will be the year in which Lamborghini will start its electrification with the launch of 2 hybrid models

With the Huracan Sterrato, the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory will put an end to the manufacture of cars without electrificationfocusing after its debut on the coming-out of the successor to the Aventador, a supercar whose main novelty will be the use of a naturally aspirated V12 engine associated with an advanced hybrid propulsion system.

But this will not be the only hybrid that we will see arrive at Lamborghini in 2023, because next year the first plug-in hybrid Urus will also be presented. Although the successor to the Aventador will use a more sophisticated hybrid scheme that will seek to achieve a plus in performance, but above all a minimum impact in weight, in the case of the Urus PHEV we find a more conventional scheme that will defend the role of being the most efficient Lamborghini ever made. In fact, everything points to this Urus PHEV will use the same plug-in hybrid drive already seen in models such as the Cayenne E-Hybrid or the Bentayga Hybrid.
